Koate-DVI is well-tolerated with a low risk (0.7%) of side effects

In the clinical study, during a total of 1,053 infusions, only 10 adverse reactions related to 7 infusions were observed:1

  • Adverse reactions included tingling in the arm, ear, and face; blurred vision, headache, nausea,  stomach ache, and jittery feeling
  • Koate-DVI is made from human plasma. Products made from human plasma may contain infectious agents, such as viruses, and, theoretically, the Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease (CJD) agent that can cause disease. There is also the possibility that unknown infectious agents may be present in such products.

Tell your healthcare provider about any side effect that bothers you or does not go away. Call your healthcare provider right away if bleeding is not controlled after using Koate-DVI.
